| Welcome to the website of the Kinsmen
Club of
Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Our club has a long history of serving our community's greatest
need, celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2005.
The Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Liverpool are located in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova
Scotia, Canada.
Kinsmen and Kinette members are part of a volunteer organization
"Kin Canada" that serve to enrich our communities through service while embracing national pride, positive values, personal development and lasting friendships.
The association boasts a proud 88-year history dedicated to fostering life-long friendships while 'Serving the Community's Greatest Need.'
The Kinsmen Club of Liverpool was chartered on November 7,
1945 by the Kinsmen Club of Halifax. The Liverpool Club was the 131st club in the association. The Club was incorporated under a private Members Bill in 1947. The Kinette Club of Liverpool was chartered in 1946.
The Kinsmen meet at the Liverpool Lions Hall, 128 Gorham St., on the first and third Mondays of
every month, September through June. The Kinettes
meet at various Kinette residences on the 3rd Tuesday of
every month, September through June.

» KINSMEN & KINETTE BURSARIES:
The Liverpool Kinsmen & Kinette Bursary was set up
by the Kinsmen Club of Liverpool in memory of the late
Roy Yarn (a long time member of the Liverpool Kinsmen
Club). Two bursaries, in the amount of $1,000.00 per
school, are offered annually to students at the
North Queens Rural High School and Liverpool Regional
High School, who will be continuing their
education at university, college, or community
college.
For more information and application details on these
bursaries, please contact the High School guidance
councilor.
» VOLUNTEERISM:
The Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs of Liverpool are also proud to provide volunteer workers and sponsor the canteen for the

throughout the year at community events such as the
Hospital Hustle, Curling for Cancer, Salvation Army
Christmas Cheer Boxes, and with Hillsview Acres.
The Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Liverpool are proud of
our past. With such a great past we can only look to the future to continue our fine contributions. With the continued support of the community, we can
continue 'Serving the Community's Greatest Need' for many years to
